Wrinkled is a collection that combines the delicacy and preciousness of traditional jewelry with the raw and rugged aesthetics of crumpled metals. Made from two-toned crumpled metal, the bracelet and earrings in this collection feature a scratched finish that adds a rough touch to their contemporary design.

What sets Wrinkled apart is not only its distinctive appearance but also its lightweight construction. Despite being made of metal, both the bracelet and earrings are surprisingly light due to the use of thin stainless steel and brass sheets. This innovative approach ensures that the jewelry is comfortable to wear without compromising on style.

The craftsmanship behind Wrinkled is truly remarkable. Each piece is meticulously handmade using overlapping sheets of brass and stainless steel. The brass sheet is skillfully bent using pliers, and the two metal sheets are joined together with mini rivets. The brushed finishing and thin matte varnish applied to the jewelry prevent tarnishing, ensuring that the pieces retain their beauty over time.

The specifications of the Wrinkled collection are as follows: the bracelet measures 66 mm in width, 55 mm in depth, and 60 mm in height, with a weight of 90g. The earrings have dimensions of 45 mm in width, 0.4 mm in depth, and 60 mm in height, weighing 15g.

Conceived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2013, Wrinkled is the result of extensive research into repurposing metal scraps found in junkyards. The challenge faced by the designer was to join two different metals, as stainless steel has a much higher melting temperature than brass. The solution was to use mini rivets, which not only solved the technical challenge but also added to the rustic appearance of the collection.

Wrinkled has garnered recognition for its exceptional design. In 2020, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skill, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
